Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Content
This patch also brings the game's newest free story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive techniques: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
