The tenth week once more provided excitement, with a major surprise for the Bills demonstrating the 'any Sunday can bring surprises' mantra that attracts so many people into the NFL
That result could have created things up for the New England Patriots to creep back into a top spot they formerly held, with a remaining games that provides them an edge over their 8-2 competitors
Over in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to arrange a monster clash in week 11, while our top performer is pursuing milestones as well as the MVP award
The Breakdown - Simply an Off Day for the Bills?
Was it just an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Bills to address
The Buffalo squad had secured seven victories in a consecutive games against Miami but were outperformed from the beginning as the Dolphins emerged as 30-13 victors in an surprising outcome - and performance
MVP Josh Allen only achieved the squad's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the fourth - yes the Dolphins had 10 days to get ready but it was nonetheless a significant failure laid by one of the league's best offenses
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back De'Von Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two scores
Bottling up the league's best rushing attack was also key, with James Cook and teammates recording just 86 yards, their fewest of the year and just over half their 161.5 yard average
Then there were the three critical turnovers, and the two from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his final quarter fumble that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just two plays
It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to dig his team from the situation - not the composed, controlled, well-balanced Buffalo team we've seen this season
Miami have served up a varied performances this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of something, but for the Bills they'll need an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the New England are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East
Spotlight - Patriots See Path to Unexpected First Place
Speaking of the Patriots, they're among three different eight and two squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference sides, but could they be the best?
You can find flaws in New England, the Broncos and Indianapolis actually for feasting on the lesser sides, with only five of their combined 24 wins achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis defeating the Denver
The Broncos defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indy can ride Taylor, but the New England including Sunday's victory in Tampa Bay to their primtime win in Orchard Park seems like a declaration
Their pair of losses occurred in recently appointed coach Vrabel's first three contests, with seven consecutive victories, just like Denver, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was huge
Maye's MVP claims continue to be discussed, and he certainly deserves point for bravery after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but persevering to steer his side to victory
The defensive unit is solid and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different runner to break 22 miles per hour this year on his initial touchdown
While you can debate who 'the best' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the best record thanks to their schedule - which features just one game against a winning team, albeit a huge one against the Bills
Traveling to Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also compete for top seed but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Packers on the fixture list
The Indianapolis also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jacksonville to face. There's a long way to travel but the door is available for a shock top seed in the American Football Conference
Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Next Week Clash
Two teams with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who both put up 40 burgers to reach seven and two before next week's major game between the pair in LA
They've both won four in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Matthew Stafford and Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game
Each could realistically be without a loss as too - particularly the Rams as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philadelphia when they had a game-winning field goal with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown
The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the final play of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they're genuinely among the best sides in the NFL
The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date
Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor could be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, scoring three scores and contributing another forty-two {receiving yards
