Ex- Physician Faces Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of committing assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors said the forty-five charges include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
