I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
